Poised Bodies

In essence all nude studies are in someway a manipulation, placing the figure, lighting, post-production etc. All of my previous work is highly manipulated and purposefully so, to make specific points. This work, though subtle, is nonetheless a manipulation. These figures are posed using gravity as the primary form of manipulation. They appear sculptural and cold yet they are fragile and alive, strong and vulnerable They are contradictory, reflecting the way society see’s the female form.

“In the everyday indicative world, women and their bodies, certain bodies, in certain public framings, in certain public spaces, are always already transgressive-dangerous and in danger.”

Perhaps the real danger here is that our obsession with the perfect body is all in our manipulated minds and we are doing little to change it.

nice pose and expression, nice photograph/photo . yes the women's body (and men) became the image, the illusion of perfection, but in reality "nobody is perfect". but this vision of women began a long time ago ... long, yes, after the 1st WW. one word : too much of... gives the inverted of the 1st innocent thing we thought , and liberty is not anarchy.
Emancipation women , but after years, commercial make prisoner the movement of this freedom and now, we looks like "object" or "concept".
but in the 1st times, women take their freedoms for having another place in the society with new activities : sport, jobs, leisure, pleasure, wears , etc , the movement really began in 1920/30 with the movement of "Art deco" a new image / visualisation of the body was born, for ourselves and for a better society but industries began their destruction better than artist ...
everybody must take care and don't be the victim of all the "society" is prisoner with.
sorry my expression in abstractive concept is limited in english :(
